The Marketing Surgeon

01  ·  what we make

What we make.

This page says what each one includes, what it costs you in time, and where we stop. The last part is the one most agencies leave out.

02  ·  the work

These are the five services.

01

Referral one-pagers and presentations

This is the single sheet a specialist leaves behind at a referring practice: what you treat, who to send you, how to reach you and what happens after the referral. It is written to be read in the twenty seconds it gets, printed properly and supplied as a PDF your team can email the same afternoon. Where a longer meeting calls for it, we build the presentation from the same material: lunch and learns, service line overviews, and the slides a liaison takes into a referring practice.

Ask about this

What does it buy you?

It gives you something to leave behind.

02

LinkedIn for the practice and its clinicians

This covers the practice page and the profiles of the clinicians in it, which is where a referring physician looks you up. They are written, designed and set up, with a posting rhythm your team can hold without hiring anyone to hold it.

Ask about this

What does it buy you?

It means you are found when someone checks.

03

Patient-facing collateral

This covers intake and consent sheets, pre-op and post-op instructions, service menus, pricing sheets, waiting room material and signage. These are the documents patients read, written so they are understood the first time and your front desk answers the same question less often.

Ask about this

What does it buy you?

It means fewer repeat questions.

04

Brand and templates

This covers identity, palette, type and the templates behind them: letterhead, slides, social frames and appointment cards. They are built so the front desk can fill one in without calling an agency and without the brand drifting.

Ask about this

What does it buy you?

It gives you consistency without a gatekeeper.

05

Websites

We write the site, plan the pages and art-direct the design. The group's engineering arm builds it, because a site that handles booking or intake is software rather than a brochure. You get writers who know healthcare and engineers who build the parts that have to work.

Ask about this

What does it buy you?

It gives you engineers, not a template.

03  ·  boundaries

This is where we stop.

We say it plainly, so nobody wastes a consultation.

01

We do not write medical claims.

We will not put an outcome rate, a success percentage or a comparative claim on your material unless you can evidence it and your compliance people have signed it off. This is the line agencies cross most often in healthcare, and it is your license at risk rather than theirs.

02

We do not run ads on a percentage.

Paid media billed as a share of spend rewards the agency for spending more of your money. If you need paid search we will say so, scope it as work, and tell you honestly that there are specialists who do it better than we would.

03

We do not build the websites ourselves.

We write them, plan them and art-direct them. The group's engineering arm builds them, because a healthcare site that touches intake or booking is software rather than a brochure, and it should be built by people who do software.

04

We do not sell retainers by default.

Most of this work is a project with an end. Where an ongoing rhythm genuinely helps, usually LinkedIn posting, we will propose it and say what it produces. Everything else is bought once.

04  ·  next

Bring what you hand people now.

It can be a Word document from 2019 and a business card. That is a normal starting point and it tells us more than a brief would.
